Psalm 51: Lenten Closing Prayer Create in me a clean heart, Oh God And renew a right spirit within me. (repeat) Cast me not away from your presence, Oh God, Take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy Salvation And renew a right spirit within me. January-February Memory Verse: “…We must show love by our actions, not just by our words.” -First John 3:18 (“First Grade New Living Translation”) November Memory Verse: “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” - First Thessalonians 5:16-18 September-October Memory Verse: "But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23 Jubilate Deo: PRONUNCIATION: you-bee-lah-tay day-o Here's a pretty cool website with more information about this song! I'm not positive that we'll sing it for the Fish Fry because of the Lenten prohibition on saying "Alleluia," but I'm pretty sure that is only a rule in Mass...
